Since most of my movies are also kids movies, it's a pain to keep switching decoders when the kids want to watch a tv show after watching a movie (or the other way around). I gather there is/was an option in MPC-HC to not use DXVA for SD content. Would it be possible for an option like that in SAF?
I downloaded four 1080p samples from Demo World. Although all the videos played correctly I could not hear any sound. So I upgraded from SAV4 to SAV5. After the upgrade two of the four files played correctly. The one did not play at all (MP would just exit back to the menu once play starts) and the other did not display any video while the sound worked. I changed the codec from ffdshow DxVA to only ffdshow. After the change three files played correctly, but one of the videos keeps going back to the menu without playing anything.
In VLC all four files plays without any problem.
My setup looks exactly like Hobart suggested on https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...xperimental-based-ffdshow-dxva-decoder-77591/ except I can successfully play one more video (like mentioned) when I use ffdshow instead of ffdshow DXVA.
Any ideas?
Hi
I enabled audio passthrough during the install - I passthough all Dolby Digital and DTS. It seems my problems are with the video codec, not the audio codec since I upgraded. I'll try Grapstudio tonight.
Thanks

SAF already have FFDShow profile to disable DxVA for SD.
