If i am not wrong, BluRay plugin need to be updated to make it working correctly with latest SAF (MPC mpeg splitter).
If you open 00000.m2ts is Stream folder - does it play?

Re: AW: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

ok i found the problem its crazy the sound was muted but ac3 and dts works :)
:D

Weird, I spent about an hour fixing the same problem the other day, MePo spontaneously muted during a video. I was messing with cables in the roof (where my box lives) at the time so I assumed it was something physical until I rebooted the machine and it played the windows startup sound... but MePo still had no sound.

I don't use MePo for sound control as I use 3RVX to display a nice volume OSD which only works with windows sound.

I felt like a real tool when I discovered MePo was muted.

Is this just coincidence or has anyone else had a similar issue?

Future of SAF:

I think it is time to push SAF5 to "final" release, so next SAF5 will be RC1.

After SAF5 reach to final (?end of month?) i will start to work on SAF6 based on LAVF splitter and LAVF audio decoder + FFDshow for video.
LAVF is now very good and in future there should be BluRay support (direct playback of .bdmv) so there should be no need for BluRay handler any longer.
Audio passthrough will be added too.

especially the part of bluray support sounds great!
But for now a final saf5 version would be really nice indead :)

Thanks for your work and news. But there are still changes on MP side needed for LAVF right? And still things like An*DVD?

Depends how much support is wanted. With limited support (no menus, and probably few other more minor things) MP side doesn't need to be changed. But to get full BD support inside MP you might want to wait :)

    And still things like An*DVD?

Sure, that will be always a requirement :)
