Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

Hi there,

I had a quick look for you and it appears there is no way of manually switching profiles (via a shortcut) - I thought there was, but it doesnt appear so???

In reality all you need to do is switch between two registry (reg) files/settings - All ffdshow audio settings are stored in registry, you you simply specify what profile you want to use.

As to how you import/load these settings from the remote is the challenge. IRSS will allow this, but its a slight overkill. I thought ARC should allow this too. Trying to think of other ways...

J.

I wonder if it would be possible to make a simple (as if anything's simple!) plugin (or make it part of MP) that would allow MP to handle audio channel mixing, similar to ffdshow's mixer so that users could set up pre-defined mixer profiles that could be switched via the remote? Then I could disable the mixer part of ffdshow and just have that decode whatever it's fed.

Would be great if there was some way to adjust the volume of individual channels from MP whilst media is playing as well. Obviously this isn't an issue for people using Receivers, but would be great for those of us who haven't got the money/space for one of those and just want to use our motherboard analog outputs.

    Thanks for your perfect SAF6,

    How and where can you save the settings used in LAV Analog or SPDIF and invite one without the SAF uninstalled and installed. WHERE are the settings set for 2 channel or 5.1 channel analog directional analog. There, she could be in FFDSHOW so exported and imported.

    The only thing I've found is "LAV settings reset."

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\LAV]

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\LAV\Audio]
    "Formats"=hex:01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01,01
    "Bitstreaming"=hex:01,00,00,01,00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\LAV\Splitter]
    "subtitleMode"=dword:00000000
    "PGSOnlyForced"=dword:00000000
    "prefAudioLangs"="ger,eng"
    "prefSubLangs"="ger,eng"

    Thanks for your XPRESS anwser.

    But, where can I Switch between 2 Channel und 5.1 Channel (Anlaog Audio)

    I am not sure what do you mean by this...

    hmm maybe he means the analog output format (@ the jackets on MoBo/soundcard)
    - i think that would be a hardware configuration and setting of the onBoard-Sound/soundcard

    if he means the output-format by audiostream -
    info button on the remote twice - than choose audioformat.
    different audio-streams (language and stereo/dolby/THX choosable)

    no need to hack the reg for this...

    Hi.
    Is it possible to set as forced external srt subtitles of avi files?
    Thanks

    Well, it should be.
    But best you can do is mux your AVI + STR in one file using MKVMerge and tag you subtitles as forced.
