Short Question...

At the moment I am using Saf 502 which works almost perfekt (few dropping frames, stutter)...

But when i try saf 6 last Version whith recommended Settings, i get extrem permanent stutter, dropping frames , etc....


Regardless of which Format, mkv, avi,etc.. permanent stutter....

Also switching between different Codecs FFDSHOW DXVA,PDVD11,LAV, makes no difference... Only on switching back to SAF502 every thing is all right again.


Any Idea????

Did you test it in Graphstudio?
What CPU/GPU/OS do you have?
Passthrough on/off?

CPU: AMD X2 2.8
GPU: Radeon HD5700
OS: W7 64bit
MP: 1.2 Beta


Now I did several other tests and I have now two scenarios as you can see in the screenshots..

Sometimes the Graph goes completly crazy, but only on HD materials ( screenshot1)
And somtimes there are only 5-8 seconde Spikes/Stutter ( screenshot2)

SD Material works flawless ( screenshot3)

Was you able to reproduce the issue in Graphstudio? I mean open and play your file directly in graphstudio. The graph you posted is from playback in MediaPortal, right?

I can reproduce Sreenshot 2 with stutters every 5-7 seconds...

Is LAV Audio now working with DVD, since the ffdshow audio codec is no longer automatically registered with the latest SAF version?

Video FPS and you refreshrates doesnot match - maybe that is causing stuttering? Or some background software like antivirus, etc...
Check CPU usage in moment when stuttering happend.

Hmm.. I forgot to say that i bought a new TV.. Maybe there is a Problem with the Dynamic RefreshRate Changer??? Without Dynamic RefreshRate Changer , i get continuous stutters...

In Graphstudio - there in such think like RefreshRate Changer, that is one of reasons i want from you to test it directly in Grpahstudio.

I look at ati.com for the 6750, there was only UVD 2.0 under the specs, or have he automaticly UVD 3.0 when he can play BluRay 3D ?

All Radeons 6xxx have UVD 3.0
