Would it be possible when I install SAF6 to use all the codec from PDVD11?

The reason I ask is because when I play a DVD disc on my HTPC with PDVD11 I get 5.1 sound on my AV-Receiver and when I play it through MPC I only get sound from my fronts.

I’m a complete noob on this matter but it sounds SAF6 could solve my problem as described in below thread.

If i read this correct you have your Av receiver connected with something like SPDIF or an HDMI cabel, right?
Then you should select that you have an AV-receiver connected during SAF installation and you should have 5.1 surround pass-trough when using LAV-audio decoders
Works for me like a charm..

Hi all, my problems are solved, not the way I wanted but anyway I finally got surround sound

I suddenly remembered I got an old PC on the loft with a Creative SB Audigy Platinum installed.
So I installed this one and everything works just fine, okay I had to use the ugly Audigy Drive as I needed the optical connection but the HTPC is placed in the stair cupboard so who gives a damn.

Anyway hereby I like to thank everybody for their support.

so i use the lav for all of my audio.i use passthrough to my avr.with the new saf i installed also ffdshow audio.this is use to have dolby and dts on the tv speakers.when i use the avr to hear the sound,is automaticly use the lav and i have untouched sound or is ffdshow tich my soiund?in mepo overall is lav selected.in ffdshow settings i have nothing checked by passthrought.

Hi Hoborg,

Question1: Does current SAF6 work well with the mpaudiorenderer.ax?
Question2: I have a good receiver which does spdif/hdmi passthrough. When I want to use the mpaudiorenderer, do I still need to select [Yes] on the question if I have an external AV receiver? Please advice.

Hi Hoberg
After installing SAF 6 unlocked I now have better TV quality than ever Thanks very much for the setup.

A small issue has araised though. I now have about 0,5 sec out of sync, the audio is 0,5 sec ahead of picture.
Any suggestions to this?

No idea, i didnt use outdated MPA audio decoder 2 years now.
What is wrong with LAV audio decoder?

No, your thinking something else than what I try to say. Its not the decoder but the renderer.

This is the MP audio renderer. >>LINK<<.
It is supposed to be set as the default audio renderer device.

Im trying to achieve the best possible result in combination with SAF6

Well, i am not using MePo at all, so you can try by yourself.

Ok, But do you have an idea of how it SHOULD work best icw SAF? Enable or disable spdifpassthrough?
