    @Thor2605:
    Well, this is not decoder/splitter issue. Something in your audio renderer refusing connection, like mono audio, certain bitrates, etc... This is mostly audio driver issue. Did you tryed MediaPortal Audio renderer?

    I have no sound when i turn on my avr. i have connected my system so. htpc to avr to tv all over hdmi.

    When i switch on the tv and the htpc all works fine, than i will look an film with fat sound, i turn on the avr now i have no sound. i musst restart an let the avr on than i have sound on my avr. now i was finished the video i turn off the avr i have no sound. i musst resart. have somebody an idea how can i fix this. when i test this with ps3 and xbox360 it works fine, on off i have the sound there how it should.

    And a other problem that i can't fix, when i will see a video with dts-hd i have no sound. But with ps3 the same bluray i have dts-hd master sound on my avr. I check the box in lav dts-hd framing for all, but now i have no sound no by dts no by dts-hd.

    And what is this MediaPortal Audio renderer ? i found no plugin in the download area with this name...

    @D3ltoroxp:
    I wont help you with audio passthrough - i dont have reciever.
    If you are able to reproduce the issue in Graphstdudio and you thing it is LAVF problem, you should report it directly to LAVF thread.

    And here is MePo audio renderer

    Good news, LAVF audio decoder now support DVD playback. Time to say FFDshow audio decoder good bay? :)

    Not until passthrough und AAC reencode is working ;-)

    Or MP Audio Renderer has resampling & up / downmixing implemented.

    +1. It's important for me that I can downmix a 5.1 movie to stereo, for late night or headphone listening, simply by switching preset in ffdshow audio decoder. Sometimes need to boost the centre channel volume or upmix mono to stereo as well, which ffdshow handles nicely (although would be even better if all this could be done directly in MP).

    You can do all this by using FFDshow Audio processor (by adding it to MePo postprocesing).

    Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

    Another problem I'm having at the moment is that AVIs are much louder than LiveTV, so I need to turn MP's volume down to about 4-5 notches for AVIs to have about the same volume as LiveTV on full volume.

    If I connect to MP with Graphstudio, when playing an AVI it shows LAV Splitter -> LAV Audio Decoder -> Default Directsound Device. With LiveTV, it just shows LAV Audio Decoder -> Default Directsound Device.

    If I load an AVI in Graphstudio, it shows LAV Splitter -> ffdshow audio decoder and with a TS, just ffdshow audio decoder, and they're both about the same volume.

    i've seen today a strange problem. I've two .mkv movies - both h.264 1080 and both DD 5.1 sound. One is playing nicely 10% CPU the other one causes 90-100% cpu with PDVD11 codec. MS DTV and ffdshow are refusing to play this file at all. Any ideas what to check?

    VC-1 video? Can you split small sample in MKV merge and post it here?

    No idea how to check if it is VC-1. And shouldn't VC-1 also be working with DXVA? Here is a testfile: zSHARE - test.mkv - Free File Hosting Service | Audio and Video Sharing | Image Uploading | Web storage
