Re: AW: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

hi hoborg. On another system with a HD5450 instead f a HD6570 in my main system ffdshow dxva is working fine with the file too. But Cyberlink still doesn't.

Right, Cyberlink runing only in SW mode.

ah OK now this makes sense ;-) Do you have any idea why Cyberlink does that? Would you recommand PowerDVD or ffdshow DXVA for videos?

I bet this video is simply wrongly encoded.
    Both PDVD/FFDhsow DXVA are good.

But you've said PDVD dxva is also not working for you. ffdshow dxva is working now for me. Even if i reencode this using Handbrake it still doesn't work with PDVD.

    Hi.
No need to remove LAVF audio, you can simply disable audio format you dont want to proceed by LAVF in LAVF audio decoder setting.
Too bad i cannot reproduce any issue, working just perfectly on all machines i already tryed. No idea what can cause it for you. What soundcard do you have?

I have now also tested LAV audio .29 with same distortion of the sound for all decoded material.

I have a very old mainbord with on board audio Nforce 220 with Nforce MGP audio.

It has been working without any problems so far so it must be something that LAVF is not compatible with.
No clue to where to start looking.

I guess I will use Saf5 since that more or less works perfect but it would be nice to get Saf6 due to faster seeking and that I actually can get bluray to work.

Btw.. is there some compability issues with MePo built-in subtitle support and LAVF splitter with Blurays?
I don't get subs in Mepo. Have not tested ffdshow sub since MePo usually handles subs ok for me.

    Edit:

I know the reason now. Got reply from author. My audio driver does not handle 32 bit float output which is the only output LAV audio uses at the moment. Might be possible to configure in the future.

However I hope you can consider to still include ffdshow audio until this output options is possible.

Obviously Handbrake is not picking up something in the video which is wrong, all my TVSeries files use handbrake0.9.4 to encode to h.264 normal (keeps aspect ratio) and these run fine with PDVD11 dxva as seen below, so there's definitely something not quite right with the file :(

All other files are also working fine encoded with Handbrake. Only this one doesn't and i've no idea why.

    @disaster123:
This video doesn't have "standatd" Format profile (4.2), Width/Height (1 936x1088 pixels), and so on, hard to tell what exactly if cause decode failing in PDVD11 DXVA.
