Hi,

90+ pages and effortlessly searching the forum is too much for me.

The idea of simplyfying with SAF 6 using LAV decoder looks promising.
PDVD11 support is also great, but...

It still leaves too many config options or it is not complete yet.

My setup:
WinVista32
MP 113 (latest)

ATI video card
Sound using SPDIF to receiver

Material to play:
Everything what is available, so divx, wmv, mkv, dvd, etc.

What doesn't work is wma dmo (this is how graphstudio calls it), this is how MPC can play it using (while looking at it using graphstudio).
I've been pulling my hairs out for the last week, removed all the installed codecs, installed MP fresh, including moving pictures, and installed SAF 6, trying ffdshow, lav, all (post processing decoders for ffd and lav, also wma dmo and wmaprot to spdif in post processing do not work) and now I am totally lost).

Could someone pleas post screen dumps how to configure this, what post filter?

Hoborg, could you please update your opening post with things like this, especially what does and does not work?
It really is impossible to follow in a 90 page thread (search for wma and you find the thread but not the post, so look into 90+ pages), so your hard work gets lost in all the thread pages and that a big pity, for you as a developer and me as a user!

If it’s a wmv video file with windows media audio it should work.
Do you have any sample that i can test?

Hi,

I used asfbin to cut out a part and it may or may nog have been converted to asf.
What I did notice, was that the file is played in graphstudio as wma dmo.

So I think this is a good example.

The symptom is no response from mediaportal when starting playing all wmv movies, Graphstudio is able to load data.

WMV support on my system gets broken on the video part on SAF 6.
I'm researching more now (finally found the needed trace), will post more if I have an answer

Finally solved

The MPEG-2 Video decoder sould be set as Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder, as shown in the attachment.

Now I'm able to play wmv files.

If someone knows the source of this, I'll be happy to know.

For now erverything working again, will teste later on Blu Ray material.

I have uninstalled SAF, and only using Lav Splitter/audio/video for now.
But if i disable VC1 support in LavVideo, the sample you provide falls back and plays with WMVideo Decoder DMO and WMAudio Decoder DMO in MP and MPC-HC, same in XP and Win7. Maybe there is something wrong with your Vista installation?

Hi, I got a question about this.
You run your system with LAV only. Do you have issues with a file? Any file or is all perfect, dvd/video/onlinemedia?
Any audio/video sync issues??
