Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

Hi hoborg,

Windows 7 64 SP1 and Windows XP SP3
Both versions work without any message of missing DLL.

I modified the bat file and I put "wget.exe http://www.google.es", the page had been downloaded correctly.

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

Hi hope someone can offer some help cause I'm at my wits end trying to solve this problem

I uninstalled all the codecs on my machine because I couldn't get mp4 (h264) created with Videoredo to play smoothly with MePo. They play fine if I use WMP but stop after a couple of frames with MePo.

I installed SAF 6 (already tried Saf5 and that didnt work) following all the instructions for set up to the letter. Tried to play this mp4 h264 files in MePo and again they don't play. I can't seem to set up any config in MePo that will work. All other files play fine.

I tried putting these through Graphedit and they breakup and freeze at the first couple of frames but if I move the play slider on a minute or two thay start to play fine. Other recording and MP4s Ive made using Videoredo also play fine so i cant understand why these dont.
Anydoby with extereience of these things able to help please.?

For those discussing about Lav Video for LiveTV... I've been fighting againts framedrops in livetv for many years now (different codecs, tried all dshowhelpers releases, tsreaders...). I can't use reclock or mp audio renderer, as I do bitstreaming...

Well... Yesterday I installed last SAF, configured Lav Video for livetv (ffdshow for audio), and I watched an DVB-t HD 1080i channel here in Spain... 100k frames... 1 drop!!!! That's the best result in my life...

    I'm happy... :p

    SAF 6.00 SVN20111006 released!
    - SAF now stop "TVService" and "ForTheRecordRecorderTuner" services before
    install
    - added LAVF START menu settings
    - LAVF updated to .37

LAV Audio decoder now support audio delay!

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

You can now make LAV audio decoder working with MePo audio renderer by disabling certain Audio output format in LAV audio decoder setting - START-SAF-LAV Filters-LAV audio decoder setting.

It wont still allow 100% compatibility. There is no channel mixer available in LAV decoder nor MP Audio Renderer (that is why ffdshow audio decoder is still recommended - all other decoders and bug reports with them are ignored for now).

There are cases when WASAPI device wont support all formats. 7.1 channels on SPDIF for example. Or mono audio in general! Latest Nvidia GPU / HDMI audio device drivers seem to support mono. But at least in the past both ATI and Nvidia didn't support mono thru WASAPI (audio renderer would need to support upmixing from mono to stereo).

So, in short - you probably can already use LAV audio decoder with major cases but don't expect any support for such combination.
