Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

hoborg: finally i got it.

In my early days with my new sony cam i renamed the mts files to m2ts files. Later i didnt do that cuz for soem reason it was not necessary any longer. All files with m2ts uses the dxva decoder the one with mts extension not. I've tried it with the same file again and again its reproducable.

So whats wrong here.

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

I nearly always update FFDshow when i release new SAF build, so "latest" FFDshow is already included in SAF.

And Lav Video Decoder (included in SAF6) can also play 10-bit files.

Great, thanks for the help! Then I'll install SAF6 later and won't have any problems anymore.

In the CCCP forums it is said that one of the latest ffdshow-tryouts is able to play 10bit encoded files, but I don't want to mess with my filters...
    Thanks!

And Lav Video Decoder (included in SAF6) can also play 10-bit files.

MediaPortal's EVR renderer is not able to render 10 bit - only 8 bit depth will be used.

Yes, but he can play the files :)
I'm using SAF 4 and now 5.02 quite some time and everything works great. But now there are more and more 10bit encoded video files that SAF 5.02 can't play back. Is 6.00 able to do so? Or is there any way to implement this feature by myself?

AW: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

Hello it is possible that we can get this into the Download Section on the Mediaportal Website ? So you can see in the Extension Plugin if an Update is availlable ? And Update it direct from Mediaportal ?

SAF is not a MePo plugin.

Here are my two screenshots. One for good and one for bad. I found out that there is some cut with my videos. Til a specific month all videos are used with the dxva decoder after that month not. Im pretty sure not to change any config on my cam but maybe i did :-(

Hoborg: is it a problem to use the pdvd11 codec for mpeg files, with that codec the problem istn there?

    Henric
I tested your .mts sample you sended me and i am sure the problem have roots in MePo.

If you play your sample in Graphstudio, FFDshow DXVA is used.
If you play it in MePo, MePo will use FFDShow video decoder.
If you rename your sample from .mts to .MKV, MePo will use FFDShow DXVA decoder.

    EDIT:
Problem founded - MePo will use MPEG-2 selected decoder for *.mts files, even if the file itself is h.264/AVC

You should create a MePo bug report for this.
