Hi brownghost.

Could you post a screendump of the dynamic refreshrate changer settings?
And is the crash only with this particular file? If so, try renaming it to ***.mkv
What is the refreshrate + resolution of the TV/htpc when starting MePo, and what are you trying to change it into.
If this is an ARC issue, this discussion should continue in that thread. If its a codec thing and saf related, this is the right place. (you can judge that )
Does changing the codec (audio+video) make a difference when you try it?

I have a strange problem - I switched from a GTX460 to a passive GT430 so I could then use LAV video decoder without fan noise.

I have a single seat setup in living room, and a client setup in the kitchen. On living room machines codecs for MKV's and TV series are set to use LAV video codec. Live TV set to use PDVD12. Kitchen is set to use PDVD12 for everything since it has a ATI card in it.

However, if I play a MKV in the living room, then live TV in the kitchen breaks up and eventually freezes. If I use PDVD12 codec for MKV instead, then all is fine, but then I have no 10-bit support :-(

Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

I'm using Windows 7 with latest SAF609

EDIT: altered post as got confused over which codec was on which machine!

Sorry to resurrect this post! I did some more playing around today, and realised that the above problems only arise when I have CUVID hardware acceleration enabled for LAV. Once I disable it then all is fine for TV streaming / recording.

Any idea why this would be? I take it that the GT430 should be up to the task!

ARC Audio Changer.
I use Saf6. The DVD playback, but regulated by saf6 about ffdshow. It is not only the reg entry for export Lav. When switching between Spdif and analog audio about the Lav Reg Entry I just get a sound output then when I was newInstall Saf with analog Settings.
Question: what reg entries for saf6 I need to export all the settings of Saf6 be taken in order to use this with ARC Audio Changer

i'm using the mediapotal subtitle engine from ages and it works ok. deactivate the one of ffdshow and activate the mediaportal one in the video section of mediaportal config. bye

I have done what you suggested , ie : fddshow in saf 6 OFF and MPHC in mediaportal ON, BUT ( there is always a but ;-) ), i have a movie of which i know there arte subtitles , as i can see them in WMP. When i try to select these subs in mediaportal there are still no subtiles to be seen.

What else can be the problem ? It's a dvd format with 5.1 and dutch subtitles in it. Hope you have another suggestion as it is already improved but not as it was before.

i'm sorry , but here subtitles is working with my dvds i don't know why yours is not working

Sorry for this late reaction , unfortuanally i still have problems within MP 1.22 and subs.
I deinstalled SAF 6 , set MP subs to MP HC, as it always has been functioning! Tried again without saf 6.09.................still NO SUBS while playing dvd
Than i installed SAF 6.09 again ( leaving subs handeling to MP ) , tried after reboot................your guess is goo d Still no subs.

Does anyone has a advice or even a solution to my problem ? . I haven't changed anything to MP, exept upgrading saf 6.? to SAF 6.09.

Hate to do a new install of MP as i have a terrible IR receiver ( IMON) which is functioning very reasonably with a Harmony One remote ................it was like H*LL to get that to functioning.

Maybe Hoborg got a solution ? ;-)

Ok, it worked!!
I already had the dynamic refresh rate control option set to "on" (I set it long time ago, leaving all the other options to the default values).
This time I tried to enable "Use device reset" and "Force refresh rate change" options. Now the video smoothness is far better than before.

I have no MPEG Audio on TV after installing SAF6.0.9 with LAV 0.49
Tried different settings in configuration, but none works.
Only AAC audio works and that is only on two channels so my wife is killing me...

The funny thing is that if I try the channels in TV-configuration outside MP I have sound...

Hmmm, In Graphstudio there is sound, but something is fishy because it says that Graphstudio uses Elecard audio decoder and ffdshow video decoder and my settings in MP configuration is PDVD12 for video and LAV for audio.
Something must be broken in MP, is it possible to fix?
