Hello,

I do have some movies in my import path in different formats, let say i have the main movie in mkv, but also have a dvd rip of it in iso.

Is there a way to have the movie listed once, then choose between the different versions of the movie?

Also, I do rip my bonus DVDs, naming them like the movie but ending with " - Bonus". I would appreciate if thos could appear as, let's say, the 3rd version of the movie.

So, for example, I would have an entry for "Nemo", but then would be able to choose mkv, iso, or bonus.

Sorry if it's a noob question, but I tried in several ways and was unable to do it.

If anybody got a suggestion, I will appreciate.

Thanks in advance,
FLX

The best way to handle a bonus disc is to merge it with the main movie. This will add two entries to the movie and you can select which disc to play when selecting the movie.

AFAIK, different formats are not currently supported the way you suggest.

    Hello,

Thanks for the "merge" tip, that did it.

I'll try to merge something like: mkv file + iso file + iso bonus file to see if I can then choose all the versions of the movies I own.

The only improvement I'd like to see here is some more info in the media chooser window when I switch from one file to the other - that could simply be a mention of the filename, so I would switch between, let's say, Terminator.mkv, Terminator, iso, Terminator - Bonus.iso

Does the developers of the plugin think this could be doable?

    Thanks in advance,
    Felix

the problem with this is that the disc changer dialog is not part of the plugin code but part of the core media portal framework. In order to make this change, the core developers would have to change it or the plugin developers would have to create a duplicate of that class. Creating a duplicate is often not a good idea.
