Since I use MP I have tuning issues whith MP. I use CanalDigitaal Satellite in Holland and have a smartcard and CI module from CanalDigitaal. The card's are the best ( dvb s2's from digital everywhere..) My problem occurs when tuning to a scrambled channel. When I use DVB viewer from digital everywhere, tuning is ok. In MP the first attempt is always resulting in a "channel is decoded" message. When I go then to a free channel and after this I go back to the first (scrambled) channel, it is able to tune.
To me it feels the problem is CI module related. If the software cannot read the CI module properly.. I don't know.

This is the interesting part in the logging i think:

So your cam is giving an error.
I don't think this is a MP bug. Will ask a dev.

AW: Sat Tuning problems

The message points to decoding errors of the CAM. But they are not passed to the client.

You can try to:
- tune a FTA channel
- enter the CI menu from LiveTv -> context menu
- tune a scrambled channel

The result will probably the same, but you should see the whole message the CAM wants to tell you...

Thanx for looking into it. I ended up with this cam after trying some others. This original canal digitaalcam performs the "best". I had more difficulties with other brands. When I use firedtv viewer all tuning is fine. I'm not this big into error logs to find errors myself. Sorry for that.
I wonder if there are more Canal digitaal users with same hardware wih tuning problems?

Problem seems to be fixed. I tried a Aston cam 1.07 and this one is working without problems. No tuning issues nomore!
