Hello, I'm using a Terratec Cinergy S2 PCI HD DVB-S card with mediaportal to watch satellite TV. I'm capable of recieving Astra 1 (19,2E), Astra 2/Eurobird 1 (28,2/28,5E), Astra 3 (23,5E) and Hotbird (13,0E) satellites. I have several problems/questions regarding the use of DVB-S which I hope you can solve/explain: 1. Why do I need to scan every orbital position several times (normal SD channels and again with HD channels)? In the case of Astra 2 I also need to scan Eurobird 1 seperately so I have to scan this position 3 times. My satellite reciever which I want to replace with mediaportal can scan everything in one scan (including Astra2/Eurobird1 which both can be recieved with the same LNB). Wouldn't it be possible to configure Mediaportal the same way so it looks only at the LNB/orbital position and not what kind of channel(SD/HD) or satellite (Astra2/Eurobird1) it is? 2. The Astra 3 position also contains HD channels. In Mediaportal there is no HD scan configuration in the satellites list for this position. Would it be possible to create one? 3. The satellites list is in need of an update I think. I downloaded the latest list but still I see some mistakes. The Astra 3 position for example says the satellite on this position is Astra 1D, but this satellite has already been replaced on this position with the 3A and 1E satellite (in the satellite list the 1E is mentioned on 19,2E instead of 23,5E and the 1D has been moved to 33,5E). Does this matter in any way? Thank you for your help. I'm completly new in Mediaportal but I'm seriously considering using this as the only media player/server in the house.
