My scheduled recordings are failing with increasing regularity.

Most frustrating. A reboot seems to fix things but this is not always possible when you're not there to do it!

The system appears to find the TV card but then fails to setup the graph....? RunGraph returns: 0x8007001F??

I've found that mentioned in a couple of old posts but no new info there. I have the system waking up. It re-initialises the service on wake-up. EPG grabbing when idle is off. And the delay before detecting the TV card is 25 seconds (was 20).

    Any ideas?

Attched tv.bak shows it attempting to record TV3 News at 18:00 and failing. It works after a reboot at about 18:30. Then it was scheduled to record ONE Sport overnight but it failed (tv.log).

Seems this Graph error, 0x8007001F, might mean the "device is not ready". Will keep gradually increasing the "delay before detecting the TV card" to see if that has an effect.

If anyone can confirm that this is the problem, that would be appreciated,

    Tumbleweed.....

Increasing the number doesn't appear to fix it. Just hit another overnight recording failure. Interestingly, whilst it was "recording" and looping through its graph error, if I attempted to stop the "active" recording, it bounced back saying it was recording. And this time it was.

Why can't MP recognise this Graph error and do a re-initialise the tuner on the fly....?

    Hi huckster2

Don't know how I missed this thread - sorry.
The Nova series of cards are known for taking a while to reinitialise after resuming from standby/sleep, but I see you've already tried changing that setting. I'd suggest that the next step should be to try using the DVB-T network provider instead of the generic one. You can find that setting in the tuner properties (wiki info -->here<--).

The other thing I'd be wondering about is whether you're running the latest driver from Hauppauge. I've checked the Hauppauge website and it looks like there may be updated drivers available, but I'm shockingly back figuring out the difference between the various versions of the Nova T models. Perhaps you could at least check that...

Attempted the change from Generic to DVB-T but afterwards we could not watch Live TV... "An error has occured". Will delve more deeply when I can get at the thing without the rest of the family wanting to use it. Same goes for the Hauppauge software.

    Thanks.

In short, no. After extending the timeout as above, all seems a little more stable. I regularly install windows updates. I can only assume one of those upset something until a reboot or two occurred, but nothing else has gone wrong for quite a while now.
