    Scheduled Recordings

    Hi doogle,

My system is on a LAN. Where did you see that it's not available?

The reason my scheduled recordings did not work sometimes is because the LAN router was powered off, and I have since learned that it must be on for scheduled recordings to work.

    Scheduled Recordings

    Okay, that's very interesting.

I have a wireless network card in my media PC and have noticed on occasion when doing something on the machine after a period of inactivity that the wireless card announces "now connected" in the task bar. I'll definitely check that out (pull a CAT5 cable into the lounge).

    Thanks for the heads-up.

    Scheduled Recordings not working

    Hi Doogle,

Have you overcome your problems with scheduled recordings? I still cannot get any scheduled recordings to work at all, despite following the above recommendations.

    Hi

    Did you solve this problem?
    I'm having the same problem.

But sometimes scheduled recordings work great, and sometimes I see the pc resuming from S3, five minutes before recording time as planned, but only stays on for 1 or 2 minutes then go back to S3 sleep.

If I schedule 3 recording over night (like 01:00-01:30, 03:00-03:40, 06:00-07:00), then maybe 2 will be ok and one is missing.

The PC is connected to LAN by cable and connected to an always on switch.
I use power scheduler in TV-server and mp client. Both configured for 15 min. sleep.
All windows sleep control is disabled.

My scheduled recordings work every time now. I installed the Loopback Adapter and that worked fine, but soon I discovered that playback of some recordings would not work if my LAN was switched on, so now I always leave my LAN on - no issues. It would appear that you could use either the LAN or MS Loopback solution both not alternate between the two.

    Hi,

After installing v1.0.2, all my recording problems totally disappeared. Also, I do not use Windows power settings or the MP power scheduler at all and my LAN connection is still wireless to my router. I've had no issues since late April.

Ok I'm running lates SVN. Might be a problem......

You say no windows power and no mp power scheduler. Is your PC always on ? or what are you using for sleep control ?
