The SchedulesDirect feature in MP is in a plugin for the TV Server. You can find the plugin here:

SchedulesDirect Guide Importer - MEDIAPORTAL

Let me know if you get stuck and I'll try to help you out.

Cheers.

Geoff
thank you, if i ever get this media portal going. now i cant reconfigure an instance for my mysql, every time i do the program stops responding. thats right after it trys to connect. i use my task manager right after i start this program and it says not responding, so that means something wrong. if you have any ideas let me know:confused: ( i also downloaded mysql 5.5.4 and got it running. i was hoping to use that sql.) thank you!!:D

Hi.

I just downloaded MediaPortal for the first time and I have everything working except the TV guide. I have a schedules direct account and I downloaded the SchedulesDirect plugin and put the DLLs in the correct spot, and I enabled the plugin in the MediaPortal TV Server configuration and i entered my username and password into the appropriate places.

Is there anything else I need to do to get the guide information to show up in MediaPortal? It doesn't appear to be showing up.

I'm using Media Portal 1.1.2 and I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1150 and im running Windows XP. I'm using terrestrial ATSC, no cable.

    Hi Cheeze,

try restarting the tv server.... that'll kick off the first guide download. After that, mp will kick the guide download periodically.

    Roka,

can you connect to your Muzak with another tool?

    Ha!

I did my last post from my iPhone... it replaced SQL with Muzak :) I didn't notice until now ... too funny.

With a fresh install, MP will download and install MySQL for you. You should have no problem whatsoever. I did this just recently and it's flawless. Make sure your XP machine has all the latest updates and drivers prior to doing the install of MP.

    Good luck.

    Hi Stevewabc,

This is a TV server plugin, so you only need it in the plugins directory for the TV server, not Media Portal itself.

You obviously did that to be able to configure your username and password for schedules direct.

Now, restart the TV server and watch the logs. It will have logs about connecting to Schedules Direct in the tv.log.

If restarting the TV service doesn't work, post your logs.

    Cheers.
