Screen ratios give black picture (1 Viewer)

Hi,
After reading posts on Main forum & tested some more, your problems could be if you use 120 dpi fonts & not normal 96.
This seems like a Windows/DirectX bug/problem & not MediaPortal, for some reason the DirectX screen reports bigger size when using fonts 120, than what your primary screen is.

You are right about the font: its size is 120 because I only use the TV. So i need some bigger font.

Can the MP create a work around? Because at the initial state MP detects the right size (see logfiles). If you take that value as leading?

DXDiag detects the right size:
- Current Mode: 800 x 600 (32 bit) (60Hz)

I did a test:

Test 8) only open calibrate GUI

- delete calib file
- clear logfiles
- start MP
- open calibration screen
- MP tells the res. is 812x612
- press escape & close MP
- create logfiles, see martijn_online8
- a new screen calibration file was created

Hi,
No it can't be worked around @ this point within MediaPortal. This is a problem several program has with windows & larger fonts.
You could test custom size to see, but I don't know if it's work.

Hi,

- I set the font size to 96dpi
- Removed the 812x612 calibration file
- reboot the PC
- Run MP
- Entered the calibration screen --> MP says the resolution is 800x600
- Exit MP
- Looked for a new calibration screen: OK, the is now af Full Screen file for 800x600
- Run MP
- Started a movie: OK

After this test I put the font size on 120dpi again and restored my 'work around' calibration file.
