Hello! Just recently i've installed new HTPC based on Windows 7.
I have EVR set as a renderer in MP (VMR9 doesn't work for me -- black screen when playing movies, corrupted menu on return etc.). Unfortunately, i have very bad screen tearing when playing just anything. No matter if it is HD or non-HD content. However, MPC-HC with EVR works just fine!

Somewhere I read that the problem might be caused by the fact that I have no Aero enabled desktop. However, I have Windows7 Home Basic installed which has no Aero available in defaut.

I need an advice: Do you think that screen tearing in MP may be caused by not anebled Aero? Or is it some MP general problem?
I would like to emphasize that in MPC-HC with same codecs and EVR everything is playing just fine!

Thank you

MP relies on AERO's v-sync handling, so AERO needs to be enabled.
