I've been having issues with screen tearing. Untill recently I used a very old MP build, o.2 or something. I started having issues with loading certain .vob files so I didnt use it for some time. So 2 months or so ago I upgraded to the latest stable release (1.0.2) and installed steamMP as a skin along with it. Now all works fine apart that I have some tearing, well, something that looks like it. Sometimes small parts of the screen get cut apart. For example the head moves but a part of it just moves a little bit later. It doesnt happen all the time and also doesnt seem to be related to fast moving scenes or anything (so far I actually mostly notice it waching Gilmore Girls).
I checked the MP settings but as far as I can tell there isnt anything there what could cause this and I also tried forcing vsync on the gfx card but that doesnt seem to solve it either. I use the built in player.
Does anyone knows how I could solve this problem? I think it might be a case of the dx9 distro that comes with the MP installer? I read something about more people getting tearing issues in different mediaplayers with the august build.
