Hello,
in the wiki I can read the command line option
mediaportal.exe /screen=X - forces MP to start in screen number X
But below I can read:
Note: /screen=0 will start MP on the primary screen and /screen=1 will start MP on the secondary screen
Now I'm not sure what is meant.
What is the X ? Ist it the Windows-Monitor-ID, or is this the code for the primary and secondary monitor.
The background is. Often the monitor-ID changed itself. I don't know why. Therefore I want to find a way to determine the windows-Monitor-ID by script, if i give in the script the Monitor-Name.

Thanks for Your answer. I tried this., but without success. You can see the results at the 3 Pictures.
The display name is not the right display Name of the monitors (not TX-SR605 and not Lenovo LT1421).
And the Monitor-ID is not the same number as the Windows-Monitor-ID, it is the opposite.

since the display resolution is different between the two monitors you could use this information to differentiate between the two monitors in your script

Yes thats right, but the number is false. Hotkey shows Number 1 Windows-Display-Konfiguration shows 2. This I cannot use.

If its consistently the opposite then you could use that information in your script along with the resolution to correctly identify whether you wanted to use /screen=1 vs /screen=2

Assuming you want to start MP on the 1280x720 display and assuming the monitor ID reported by hokey is the opposite.

Get the monitor resolution of current monitor id #1
    If resolution = 1280x720 then mediaportal.exe /screen=2 else mediaportal.exe / screen =1

Sorry, but I have become cautious. Before, I used the tool Ultramon. It one month went well. Windows then changed the numbers, but Ultramon remained stable. It may well happen that Windows back then changes his number would also the opposite of hotkey number may be incorrect.
