This has been the case since I started using MP back in the v0.2 days. I can't see any reasons (other than lack of developer time) as to why this bug, and lets all agree here, it is a bug, hasn't been brought up and fixed yet.
One of the main reasons behind a blanking screensaver is to prevent image retention and the possibility of burn-in on Plasma's. Paused TV, video or film is the primary culprit here.
In fullscreen, the blanking screensaver quite simply doesn't activate, why? I always need to return to the GUI with the TV, video, or film paused in a box if I am going away for a while so that the screensaver activates itself.
Any chance this could be fixed in the next release please?
