Is there a way to use the onscreen display bar to slide to different parts of show like you can in netflix on YouTube . I use a mouse/ touchscreen and It would be nice if when playing a video I could jump ahead or back with the bar that shows how much of the show is left. I don't know if this is built in to player or not

Basically, this is not built in. Very few users have touchscreens, and for living room use, control by a remote is more important.

This is the sort of thing that could be incorporated if someone was to provide a patch. However, I don't think anyone on the team is planning to work on such a feature.
