Scrolling speed of rssfeed news and sizes of basic home letters (1 Viewer)

Hello!

Tis skin is great, but there are two glitches that i can't solve alone:

1- Is it possible to speed up the scrolling speed of the bottom news in home screen (rss feed)?

2- Is it possible to decrease the size of the label letters in the home screen? When i select some menus the big word disappears because it is too big to fit in that space.

Hi there

1. Not sure if it is linked to the normal MediaPortal setting (I am not using it). You can try to adjust it here:
- Inside MediaPortal
- settings
- screen setup
- scroll speed


2. Think you will have to edit some xml's if you want to adjust the font size. Might be easier to increase the menu width. Use the menu editor and play around with the menu-x position . You will also want to look for the mod where the menu bar is not solid black but rather a bit black-transparent.

I set the menu-x position to 350 and now the word fits good and doesn't disappear. 1st problem solved.

The scroll speed setting in screen setup doesn't affect the rss news, only affect the scrolling text in movies and series. Maybe I have to edit the basichome.xml but i don't know wich values should i change in order to do that.

Anyone?

Weird - I just did a search and came upon this post which also suggests the same

You are right! The thing is the speed of rss news is slower than the other horizontal scrolling texts (example in setttings, movies, series) and sttuters a little bit, thats why i have changed one level (from 3 to 4) and didn't noticed any difference. Now i have changed to level 5 and it's a bit quicker, but the stuttering is even bigger. This is a problem of the rss feed, right? if I change to another feed maybe the speed improves and the stuttering desappears?
