Its all set up and works very well. More than happy with it. HOWEVER...

In SD its not fluid like last time. What I mean by last time is when I had an older install of 0.2.3.0 using PowerDVD7 with a FX5200. SD was fluid but HD not (I put that down to older hardware like the 1.8northwood chip).

So with an upgrade and lastest version install (RC1) HD is perfect and fluid but SD is not fluid. You can notice the "framey" feel about it. Switch to HD and its just what I expected - fluid and colours are rich, blacks are black. In SD there is a "hazey" look to it and makes black not so black.

So I tried PowerDVD, ffdshow and MPA at defaults and no go. Results for SD and HD remain the same. In order to get PowerDVD to show in full screen in MyTV I had to disable hardware acceleration in Mediaportal settings.

So I tried Bob interlace with PowerDVD settings in Mediaportal and I have noticed an improvement in colour in SD but I think that there is still a fluidity problem.

So if anyone out there has worked out a fix let me know.

    Fixed this myself.

Tried all options and eventually hit gold and gold it was...

MPV codec with bob interlace with best interlace in MyTV settings. Its fluid and smooth beyond belief. I mean the best Ive seen and Ive played around with HTPCs for a while to know its the best Ive seen.

Wow glad I got this issue off my mind. All this stuff about 50hz and 60hz and PAL source etc came to naught.

I shouldnt speak to soon as I havent tried HD yet.
