Security when connecting to tv-server over wan (1 Viewer)

Hello!

Today I have client that connects to my tv-server from wan via OpenVPN. The client can watch SD channels with no issues but when it comes to HD, sometimes I get pixelation (especially on fast movment frames).
Now I want to try and skip OpenVPN and the client connects directly to the tv-server (still via wan).
Does anyone have any comment on possible security issues?

You have to open the sql server port on your firewall. I think it is not a good solution. Try a web interface.

I'll stick with the VPN solution. Maybe there are some more tweaks to do.
