Hi guys,

This is my first post here because there is one thing I'm not able to set up properly.

I'm using 2 soundcards in my system. One with 5.1 speakers at my PC monitor and a second USB soundcard for my TV in a different room.

I found out how to select the second soundcard for playing video and DVD's.
But how can I select the second card for internet radio?? (Shoutcast)

I do not want to change this setting in windows, every time I want to use Mediaportal.

Any good suggestion from someone????
Maybe an independant little tool for selecting soundcards per application is also an option?!?!?!

I'm sorry to hear this!

For DVD and Movies you can select the audio output, but not for internet-radio.
Anyone else has some idea?
If I can't fix this then I have to look for something else then MP.....

Does anyone know about a tool that can be used to switch the audio output to a different soundcard??
Now I would have to do this manually every time I want to use MP.

I have modified the code to allow for the above, I have one card used for movies, connected to the TV and another for music which is connected to my amp.

If I have time in the first half of this week I will prepare the code for submission as a patch. Will post back when done.

Hi -

I was unable to find the time needed to add support for selecting a particular sound card for music playback. I do still plan to do this when time allows; I'm almost running on a standard SVN build these days so it would be nice to get one more of my differences added to the standard codebase.

However... it occured to me that internet radio does not yet use the new BASS audio engine. As such I'd have to write to seperate implementations (one I have from pre-BASS days and the one I currently use). If it requires minimal work to support both then I'll do both, otherwise it will only cover music selected via My Music.

Hmmm, this sound a bit too complex for a quick fix.

But does nobody know a simple tool to switch audio cards??

I have the same problem, excuses for bringing back an old topic :)

Additionally, I also have all 'mouse actions' still going over the pc loudseakers who use the (default) onboard realtek audio.

I bought a Soundblastercard for MP output. It works great with coax radio, tv and music though.

Is there a way to make at least the mouseactions work with the 2nd soundcard? I understand the streams wont work due to the mediaplayer intergration.
