Selectively using external player (e.g. VLC) to avoid problematic (freezing) files (1 Viewer)

DXVA2 has proven to be far more resilient in playback. No freezes, sometimes when a problematic part is encountered it does stay on the picture an extra second when skipping but does not freeze which is good. My only complaint is when holding down the skip button the time location is not updated until I let go of skip. With the software (no hardware codec) it would update the time position as I skipped continuously.
