With version 0.1.0.3 full install I get the same Access Violation mentioned above. I downloaded version 0.1.0.2 and this works fine. Didn't try upgrading after this though... Having already spent my lunchbreak on discovereing the latest SVN TV server is broken :p

Ive been away for a few weeks and just had a chance to check in on your progress Big_Kev. Keep up the great work! I too am getting the access violation on save, so Im keen on seeing the next version, but from a quick try I can see that a lot of the suggestions I made initially have already been implemented! Thanks a lot!

Hey Kev

I too get the message:-
" Access violation at adresss 00417320 in module 'MPWebMgr.exe'. Read of address 00000008. "

I too will patiently wait for your next version

By the way- superb documentation, well done.

Cheers

Access Violation

This is proving very difficult to track down.

I am using Indy components for the web server and AnyDAC for database access.

AnyDAC also uses Indy library internally. There seems to be a conflict that I have not been able to track as it does not show up during debugging.

The only difference between version 0.1.0.2 and 0.1.0.3 is in the web interface, where I added a routine to generically build the insert statement for the schedule record so that if the database structure is changed in an SVN and another field is added, it will not cause the insert statement to crash.

I will keep looking for a work-around for this issue.

Regards
Kev

Version 0.1.0.4

I have included a lot of error checking and exception catching in the Manager program to try and eliminate the problem. Please let me know if you get any error messages as this will help greatly in tracking down the issue.

The manager program tries to create a directory called "Thumbs" inside the application directory. If it can not, this could cause an exception...

If you are running Vista, try closing the Manager when it opens after installation and going to start > programs and finding the Web Interface Manager entry and RIGHT CLICKING it and selecting "Run as Administrator" to ensure it has privileges to create directories and copy files.

There are some slight changes to the installer, you now have the option to un-check the HTML file installation. If you have customised your HTML pages, this will prevent them being overwritten.

This application needs an icon! As you can tell from my HTML pages, design is not my thing... so anyone who wants to have a go at a 32X32 256 colour icon, it would be greatly appreciated!

Regards
Kev

Hi,

i tested the last version's 0.1.0.2 - 0.1.0.4 and i get every time a blank side when i try to add a schedule

http://[server]:8585/addrec <-- empty

After i try to add (with Firefox) i can't reopen the webside, only i i try it in internet explorer.

So i switch back to 0.1.0.1 an everything work. I can add schedule and connect to the websides with Firefox everytime.

I have configured at the Media portal server that it have to record 10 minutes after start recording and 30 before finish by default. But if i do it from this GREAT webinterface it set 5 minutes after and 5 minutes before. Any configuration that i could apply?.
THX.
