    Hi Big_Kev

I'm still getting some duplicate channels, though now I can't figure out why some are duplicating and others are now fixed. Could I export my MP TV database and host it for you to download perhaps, so you can have a look as to why this is happening?

    Thanks

Definitely... I would be happy to have a look at it for you.

Any news for SSL support ?

    Simone

Yes... it looks as though it can be done. There is an SSL add on for the Web Server components that I am using, and as long as you download the SSL dll yourself, then I am not exporting it and I don't get into any legal issues.

When I get the other issues sorted out, I will add it.

    Hi Big_Kev

Deleting in 'Recorded Programs' brings me back to 'Scheduled Programs' :D
    will fix...

Hi , can someone help me with Remote Control?

I dont know, what I am doing wrong, but dont work. Just have only numbers, but nothing more and not configured is under empty Controlling list.
Where I can configure Remote Controling?

Sorry, remote control is still a work in progress... I had already started on it when some other bugs came up, so I had to release the new version with the partially complete remote stuff in it.

It should be finished during this week.

There are a lot of graphics etc missing from the install etc, as well as some issues with controlling multiple clients.

For now, you might have more success using the PDA version, as it has only buttons - no graphics. Just create a login that defaults to PDA layout and see how that goes.

    Kev

Thank you, Big_Kev! This was the right solution! ;):D:D
Thanks for your thanks, but ph4r4o did most of the work!

You should be able to download a complete backup of my current db at

    http://www.whitleyabbey-comp.coventry.sch.uk/mptvdbrc1.zip

I'm seeing duplicates for BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC Parliament, Community, ITV 1, Channel 4+1 and More 4 but there are (many) other channels which are combined which aren't showing as duplicates. Hope you can find the problem and once again many thanks for your great help!!!

I was wondering if a feature to begin/stop timeshifting on a channel could be added.

I love the rich functionality of the interface. I can use it in my method to stream live TV to my Pocket PC. I pick a show that is currently coming from the satellite provider and then "record" it. This causes the TV server to begin recording the show and then I use VLC to transcode and send the media stream out to the internet and my Pocket PC media player then gets served by VLC.

To change channels, I use the web interface to cancel the current recording and then stop the DVB device in the TV server setting. Then I go back to the guide and pick another program that I want to watch and repeat the process. If it would be possible to just begin timeshifting a channel and then be able to stop timeshifting it would be less clunky.

I should be able to do this. It looks like it will just be an extension to the current TVLink dll that i wrote to get the card status etc.

I will add it this week (i hope).

Can you send me the details on the VLC streaming? I may be able to build that in as well.

That would be amazing. If this, in the longterm, could mean being able to stream liveTV, directly from the Webinterface.
Right now, this is about the only thing I think MCE does better, with it's webguide where you can stream mostly everything.
But if we could just be able to stream LiveTV and Recordings, this would be great. Hopefully this will be able to support different formats, so at some point I will be able to watch LiveTV on my iPhone :D

    Hi Big_Kev,

in the WebInterface, i can refresh the EPG,but only the WebEPG?!
It is possible to build in, that i can refresh my Cable (DVB-C) EPG?

It were nice, if you could check the status of MediaPortal. If MediaPortal isn´t running, it would be great, if i could start the MediaPortal over the WebInterface.

Sorry again for my english, its not the best, but i hope, you can understand me?! ;)

    Kind regards,
    Ronny

I have the same problem with "could not connect"
I do not understand where I do have to enter the correct port #
Is it something like 8080 to enter in BKhelper , BKRemote ? Sorry I'm confused.

    Hi efla,

no, the default port ist 50510.
Now you open the MediaPortal Configuration.
In the menü Plugin you choose the BK Remote / BKHelper plugin and configure it.
You change the port to 50510 and save it.
Now you close MediaPortal Configuration and starting MediaPortal.

Now you open the WebInterface and all should be work!?

    Kind regards
    Ronny
