I'm getting some serious CPU usage spikes. In the menu, the average CPU usage is around 60%. The delay between each response to a button click is about 2-4 seconds, even on the main menu. I know it's the CPU load, as I was monitoring it from Task Manager and later Process Explorer. It's so bad, I can't record while MediaPortal itself is open, especially auto-timeshifting, or the video will drop below its intended FPS.
This system isn't too bad. Although I use a PCI video card instead of AGP, I've talked to people on IRC who have far better video cards (one a 7800GS), and they have the exact same problem as me. What's going on?
