Hello,

no matter if live TV or what video play back, the audio delay setting of MP Codecs and Renderers Configuration has absolutely no effect. I cannot see any difference if the delay is set to 0ms or 200ms or 500ns or whatever. I increased the output buffer to 1000ms, no effect as well.

Video goes to TV via HDMI.
Audio goes to amplifier via SP/DIF.

For MediaPortal and Windows audio settings see the attached screen shots.

    Hi,

If you use bitstream in LAV Audio, MPAR will not work and then fallback to DirectSound.
Now is to know if audio delay works in Bitstream mode (on LAV Audio).

    Hi Sebastiii,

    thank you for your reply.
Now I remember there is another audio delay setting in the following dialog
    MPEGAC3AudioProperties.jpg

which I tried before but with maybe different audio cabling. I can't remember the details of my former setups, I tried several. This audio delay setting did not have any effect as well why I forgot about it.

Now - with my current setup - this delay setting indeed works. Thank you.

BTW: is it a known defect already that MP has issues with scrollable text? Positioning of the visible section and selection of an entry does not seem consistent and reasonable to me when paging up/down or coming back from a dialog that shows details of the select entry.

    Kind regards, Markus
