Hi,

been a long time user of XBMC on AppleTV, built HTPC today and decided to install MP for the obvious reason - Live TV.

Tried to google for the answers before registering here and starting new thread, but unsuccessfully.

Problem #1, can't make Harmony One remote to work with MP - only left, right, up and down buttons are working. Selected MCE in MP Remote settings, also added Media Center PC in Logitech software which mapped all the right keys. Works perfect in MCE, but not in MP, any idea how to fix this?

Problem #2, can't get EPG to work, shows nothing (Australia). Also tried via Plugins\WebEpg, same thing, clicked on Grab Now, doesn't do anything.

Sorry if very obvious questions, spent half a day already, getting frustrated :D

Thanks in advance for any help!

WOW NO REPLIES!?!?!?!?! Ok here goes if you are still here, Under Media Portal Configuration Utility, go to Remote select Use Microsoft MCE remote or keyboard. THEN go to Additional 3rd Party Checks and select the Button to Enable policy to prevent services startup. See if your remote now works like it should in Media Portal. To use Media Center again just click the button to disable the policy....
I am in US and from what I understand its harder for me than anywhere else to get EPG, I just followed a thread on creating a XML file to the IMDB site and put the file in the US folder under WebEPG and it worked..

I guess some of the Aussies should answer your questions, as EPG is usually quite country specific in finding the best solution...

Just do like ap90033 says, and make MP think you have a normal (RC6) MCE Remote.

Startup the Logitech software. It's a little tricky to setup, but you setup the computer as a device. I think you can base it on a Windows MCE. I should have taken notes. The Logitech Support guy helped me do it. The fact that it is MP and not MCE is a non-issue.

In Harmony Software add device MicrosoftWindows Media Center SE, this will control the remote pretty much the same as a MCE remote...

For my Harmony 300, I selected MediaPortal as my mediacenter in the Harmony setup program, for my 4th device (VCR/Aux.). Then in MediaPortal Config I selected MCE remote. I'm using the MCE IR USB receiver.

    My Devices are:

    1: (TV) TV
    2: (Cable/Sat) Surround Receiver
    3: (DVD) DVD/VCR Combo
    4: (VCR/Aux) MediaPortal

The device power button is used for power on/off for devices 1-3 but is reprogrammed to be STOP for device 4, because I keep my single seat running 24/7 for recording TV.

    Works a charm.
