Hi,

I am having trouble getting MP2 to connect to a database.
When I run setuptv.exe, the "Setup database connection" window opens.
I select Sqlite and it doesn't seem to matter what I enter in "Hostname" ( PC Name or IP) I get an error message saying:
"Connection failed! Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts."

Please can you help?

Thanks.

Can you please post your logs? Use the LogCollector to create a zip that you can then upload here.

    Thanks for your reply HTPSourcer.
It turned out to be something left in the ProgramData folder.
Did an uninstall and deleted everything in ProgramData again and that sorted it.
    Thanks.

Have attached the log files for your help.
    Thanks

Without having yet looked at the log file: Did you also delete/rename the folder C:\ProgramDat\Team MediaPortal before installing. If not, please do so and try again.

Doing another reboot after deleting the program data folder worked ! Thank you !
Now I have the trouble with MP crashing trying to watch live TV after the W10 update earlier in the week.
Is there a general fix for this - it seems that lots of people are having the same issue.....

Go into TV configuration and reselect LAV for all TV codec settings, even if it already displays LAV. Then close the config with OK, restart the Server service and try again.

OK - I'm using the 2.1 pre-release. Where is this setting for TV Codec / LAV in the TV configuration app ?

    My bad.

Verify your codec settings from within the client. Make sure that you don't use any Microsoft Codec but LAV or similar instead.
