Installation from scratch with clean OS win7 and dvb-c. When I start scanning I get "SetupTV stopped working" after a few seconds. After reading in the forum about this, I tried to reinstall MP 1.17 and made sure MySQL was uninstalled so it would be clean (let the 1.17 installation do it's thing to install again). Any suggestions to what to try next? I do find an exception in the logs, but can't interpret that. The whole package is enclosed. Greatful for help!

And I do get channels with FireDTV Viewer so the tuner is working.

    Hello

According to the Windows application event log - always the first place to look when any program crashes - SetupTV (TV Server Configuration) is crashing because TV Server (TV service) is crashing, and TV Server is crashing due to an error in a Microsoft BDA (tuner driver framework) component:

Since the root cause is outside MP, I can only advise to make sure you've installed all updates from Microsoft/Windows update.

Thanks for your answer. I've tried this several times more now and the same thing happens every time. The thing is that the DBViewer is scanning successfully so why wouldn't MP? When I start a scan with MP I can see that the TV-Service stop (probably due to crash). So to me, this seems to be caused by MP. Enclosing latest logs.

Because DVBViewer doesn't use the same MS BDA components.

    Okay.
The MS BDA file that is causing the crash is psisdecd.dll.
    You are using W7.
    I am also using W7.
The version number for that file on your PC is 6.5.2715.2883.
The version number for that file on my PC is 6.6.7601.21792.
So, your version of that file is much much older than mine.

I think you've got the version from the ancient "DVB fix" -->here<--.
That DVB fix is only intended for Windows XP. You should not install it on Windows Vista or newer.

Sadly the fastest way to fix this is probably to reinstall Windows.
