Maybe I'm confused and this isn't possible however what I would like to do is setup Media Portal on a central computer (server) and allow other computers on my LAN to access the local media (movies and tv episodes) and stream it. I know I can simply create network shares (already have that) but I want to also make use of the Media Portal interface or at least a watered-down version of it so that when I watch a movie it is recorded as watched...etc and also see the nice info about the movie.I've played around with TV-Server but I don't seem to be able to get this working, or if this even will allow me to do this.
