Shared IMDB (1 Viewer)

Ok, so my mediaportal is up and running, My TV server is running too, all my films are stored on the server in a shared folder, how do I tell my mediaportal to use a shared database on the server for its film information so that I only have one database to update?

bearing in mind there will be 10 othr units around the house!

    I would also like to use the data on more than one PC (10 in my dreams but 2 when I am awake :) ).

    Any suggestions?
