Not convinced on the whole magical sell But must say I'm super keen to see a slick MP app for my shiny new iPad received for one's birthday recently....

IPimp works just fine on it but with all this lovely screen real estate it makes me want more.....

We must have some developers interested in this???????

I will make my iPhone/iPod remote app a universal app at some point ... just don't expect anything soon, the iPhone version isn't released yet

As I said, please don't get your hopes too high ... The first version will be iPhone/iPod only (ok, 2x mode will work on the iPad but that's ugly imho) and due to a lack of free time even the iPhone version won't be released in the next week.

Planned steps just that you get a rough idea:
1. iPhone/iPod touch app to replace a remote control, no access to the media libraries
2. iPad GUI (I have one lying around so that's of interest to me, too)
3. Access to media libraries (browse lists of movies, music, series and start playback directly using the webservice plugin)
4. Stream to the device (not sure if I will be able to do this ... ask again in 2 years )

In the meantime maybe check out iPimp, I don't know how it works on the iPad but maybe you are lucky ...

Ipimp does work pretty well on the iPad, just would be cooler to have something that uses up more of the screen space.... Would love to have a nice tv guide that looks much like the MP one on the TV. No real need to stream stuff to the iPad as things like Airvideo can do that just fine.

Would be awesome to have a few nice screens for the music section...

But am beginning to think I might have more joy finding a touch friendly skin for my htpc and then using VNC to control it from my iPad?
