Not sure what's causing this, I never noticed it because I always used a non-fanart skin, but now I love the new skins with backdrops and fanarts.
For example if I wake the computer from standby and launch MP, when I browse through the menu I can notice a half second lag when jumping from item to item, but if I revisit the item again, it is smooth. Also when the lag happens, the rss ticker freezes for half a second.
Obviously this has to do with caching the image in memory, because if I exit MP and launch it again (without restarting or standing by), I don't get this problem.
I did extensive search and couldn't find users with such problem, neither a solution.
I'm using a 1080p resolution and my hardware is as follows:
nVidia GeForce 8500 GT Physical Memory 256 MB, Virtual Memory 512 MB
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 over-clocked to 3 GHz
RAM 1 GB
