Should the built-in scrapers auto-update? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Just noticed that I am running into that "IMDB -" prefix issue that was fixed in scraper 2.1.6.

Looking at my scraper, its at 2.1.4.

I was under the impression that MovingPictures automatically downloaded/updated the scrapers - or am I wrong?

No, you have to manually update them.

However, everytime a new version of MovingPictures plugin is released, it usually contains the latest version of the default scraper scripts.

I'm actually working on expanding the IMDb+ plugin to automatically download/update the IMDb+ scraper, and once that is working, I'll expand the system to do the same for any other scraper script as well. My C# skills however are not optimal, so it is taking me a while. I'm getting help from other developers, so maybe I can still make it work before end of the month.

It is an existing enhancement ticket for MovingPictures plugin as well, as per issue #241, but it has not been assigned a milestone, so right now the developers prefer to focus on other things first.
