The windows ID for Showtimes plugin is 7111992, but i don't know how to change it in the xface skin.

Thanks for your tips. I changed the XML of X-Face with your ID and worked like a charm.

grazie.

Unable to Load Some Required XML Files

I have the showtimes plugin installed and working on two machines, my test machine in my office and my main living room HTPC.

This weekend I tried to install it on my bedroom HTPC after setting up MediaPortal in there to replace the mediacenter software that was on there.

Whenever I click on the My Showtimes link in MediaPortal, I get the following error message:
"Unable to Load Some Required XML Files"
Then it lists some files, the first one is config.xml, then I think the second one is locations.xml.

Of course, the files are there, I can see them in Windows Explorer. The setup of Showtimes seemed to go ok, although the "Manual Download" of show info never seemed to finish.

So far, I have completely uninstalled MP three times, twice using the "purge everything" uninstall option. Then I re-installed only the Showtimes plugin and placed the MTSA.exe file in a folder and installed nothing else. Still no go.

Funny thing is, it works perfectly on my other machines.

There's only two differences I can think of. First, I originally copied all the settings and database files from my living room HTPC to the bedroom. Of course, when I had problems with Showtimes after doing that, I completely uninstalled MP as mentioned above and re-installed with everything at default. Second, the bedroom PC is running Windows XP Home, whereas the living room and test machine are both using XP Pro.

I have attached my logs, in case that helps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I miss not having this plugin on one of my machines!

Well, nevermind. It seems to have fixed itself.

Perhaps it just needed to complete the first download of trailers and movie data. I had given it about an hour previously when I was testing, but it never seemed to finish. I thought it had just hung up on something. However, the only thing that's really changed since last night was there was an autoupdate at 4am that was allowed to run however long it needed. My best guess is that's what fixed it.

I'll leave my original post up in case anyone else is impatient like me and runs into the same problem :)

    Does nobody read anymore??
    1st post:
A couple of things to note:
    1) After you set up the plugin you have to do a manual download from the Grabber Configuration first.

    lol...

My apologies. I must have missed that.

I read all the instructions when I installed it the first time (a couple weeks ago). Thought I knew what I was doing this time -- guess not.
