There is a small issue with a couple of screens, namely myrecordedtv & nowplaying which aren't there on B2 or B2 wide.

The issue is with the background.png in Simplify (also the MePo Green Wide skin) being smaller than the native resolution of the screen, i.e. Simplify background.png is 720 x 576 whereas B2 wide background.png is 1366 x 768

The screens mentioned above locate the background.png at 0 x 0 but do not explicitly set the height & width.

I altered the resolution of Simplify background.png to 1366 x 768 and the result can be seen in the 4th image below.

So Glenn, can you recreate the widescreen background.png's to 1366 x 768 like B2 wide?

I have already fixed the MePo skins so just download the latest version for that. And I have it on my simplify-to-do-list. I want to rebuild it at the right resolution rather than simply scale it up.

Nice to hear. I get a bit of WAF feedback on the MePo skin but not Simplify. My main goal in all of this is really underpinned by needing high WAF here at Rancho-MePo.

Corrected BG size for 16:9 version
Corrected artwork on the 16:9 BG
Removed legacy bits icons from download zip (making it smaller. Yay! )
corrected "Missing Cover art" icon.
General tidy up.

WAF is a hot topic is my household at the mo, what with 0.2.1.0 and all these great widescreen skins suddenly appearing, (they're something I've been waiting for for a long time) I've been doing too frequent changes and since MP has worked its way into normal daily family use it's been noted that I am interrupting the important taks of watching TV, recordings etc etc etc

One thing with Simplify, the white fading vertical strip that's part of background.png looks out of place on anything but home.xml & myplugins.xml.

Would it be possible to remove that fading white vertical strip from background.png and supply them both as a separate images?

I could then update the home.xml & myplugins.xml to display it on those screens only.
