Hello,I just completed my HTPC build and installed Media Portal.I was attempting to change skins from the blue basic to Core for my 1080P tv.I have downloaded and extracted RAR file and copied all contents to a single folder under program files>team media portal>skins.I see the folder for the basic player but I do not know how to apply the new core skin. Can someone hold my hand and walk me through this.I am sure I will have more questions soon as I am attempting to scan channels on my quad tuners now. Thanks

BTW specs are E8400-4GB XMS2-EVGA 8600GTS-3TB WD-2x HVR-1600-Blue Gears Enspirer-OS is Vista home premium

OK problem solved.I just dowloaded and installed XFACE instead and that worked.I am sure you will see a few more questions by the end of the day as I am trying to set up now.

Hi,
I have the same issue but with the 1.0 RC 2 version.
Even if copied in the skin folder I cannot import it.
I tried with the MP Installer but the mpi file is not present in the archive. Do I need to create it from the rar/zip package ?
Could someone help ?
Thank you

I don't understand.. whats not working?

* You download a .mpi OR a .rar

/ If you downloaded a .rar:
* If its a .rar, just extract it to mediaportal\skins\"skinname" (where "skinname" is the name of the skin you just downloaded)
* So when you open skin\"skinname"\ you see a bunch of .xml files and a media folder.
* Then open configuration.exe in the MP folder and under "skin" you change to the skin you just installed.

/If you downloaded a .mpi:
* Run the .MPI and it installs itself.
* Then open configuration.exe in the MP folder and under "skin" you change to the skin you just installed.

Good luck :)
