I was going to start a thread about this, but then I read this thread.

I listen to allot of trance sets as well, and I use the skip function allot.

I'm just wondering why it does't work like in the video section.
It would be great if you could:

- Fast forward with the fast forward button.
- Skip with the arrow buttons (instead of the fast forward button).
- See a bar showing where you are in the mp3.
- Show how many seconds/minutes/hours you are going to skip. (Now I have to guess how much it is going to skip)

This works great with videos, why not use the same in music? I think in general it's better to have all parts of mediaportal work in the same way.

SkipSteps may be included, once i find more time.

No need for guessing, it is always 15 seconds per click on the Fast Forward button. clicking it twice very fast, will skipo 30 seconds.

The Now Playing screen shows a Bar and Timestamp where you are inside the mp3.

It would be great if you can implement my suggestions (If you can find some time ofcourse)

As for the skipping: I've got 8 hour long mp3's. In time I will remember that I have to press the button 6 or 7 times to skip 1 hour, but for people here that don't use MP regularly it's confusing.

Plus, like I say before, it improves the quality of MP if it would be more consistent. Though i guess a progress bar in visualisation mode would require some power (like showing track information)

P.s: Is there any way for myself to change to skip button on my remote to match it with the video section? I searched for it in the remote settings, but I cant seem to find it.

I totally agree. The skipping in audio files should work exactly like in movie files. That would be great.

Yup, consistency is the key. It would be great to be able to skip audio in the same way as we can skip the video.
