Any suggestion as to what steps I could take to try & figure out what's wrong would be greatly appreciated. Any other information or logs that would help I will promptly post.

TechniSat DVB-PC TV Star PCI B2C2 Driver 4.3.2.9999 9/29/2005
MediaPortal SVN build 5-18-2006

Thanks, LM.

thanks for the quick suggestion... tried it, no change. I had in fact had that version active before, and had reverted back for some reason that I don't remember. I've left it to the new version now anyway.

B2C2
3/13/2005
4.4.0.0

Any more suggestions?... I'm stumped without starting to look through source code myself for clues, which I'm sure wouldn't be worth the time it would take me to figure it all out.

x use the latest version of the driver and install everything that comes with it (whole software)
    x deinstall MediaPortal
    x delete MediaPortal folder
    x restart the PC
    x install MediaPortal RC4
x download and extract latest SVN-Snapshot into MediaPortal directory
x launch start.bat located in MediaPortal folder
    x restart the PC
x start MediaPortal Setup -> that will launch the Wizard
x start MediaPortal Setup again and configure MediaPortal

If MediaPortal can not find the Skystar2 then:
    x close the configuartion tool
x go to your MediaPortal/logs folder
    x open MediaPortal.log
x copy the log and past it to http://mp.pastebin.com
    x open error.log (if present)
x copy the log and past it to http://mp.pastebin.com
x reply to this topic and include the links for the 2 pastebin logs

also include info about your operation system (windows).
    x ServicePack2 installed?
    x .net framework1 installed?
    x .net framework2 installed?
    x Windows updates insatlled?

btw. Skystar2 is working like a charm with latest SVN on all system i am taking care of ;)

I have very few customers and even fewer that want to mess with this. As for family... "machines of the devil"...
