Sleep/Shut Down/Restart Buttons in MediaPortal ? (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to have buttons to Sleep, Restart or Shut Down your computer right within MediaPortal? Preferably in the Home menu. I tried looking for plugins but I couldn't find anything - especially for MP 1.2 Beta. Is there any script way of doing this?

Right now I have to close MediaPortal and use the Windows Environment to sleep/shut down my HTPC.

Hi

Won't the sleep button on the hauppauge remote do this, also if using StreamedMP, pretty sure it has power down options on homescreen as well as the X to shutdown MP.

You also might want to consider either sleeptimer or sleep control plugins, as these have a miriad of options, I like the one that when playing video (or any other file), it waits till its finished before initiating shutdown.

I can't seem to find information on the "Sleep" button on the Hauppauge Remote! Can you give me a link? I have no knowledge of a sleep button on the Hauppauge Remote. I'm using the 45-Button remote.

Also, StreamedMP allows me to close MediaPortal - but I don't see any buttons for Sleep/Shut Down for the HTPC.

I will look into SleepControl but I'm not sure if it's compatible with MP 1.2 Beta.

Either way - thanks - I'll still look around for both the Sleep button on the remote & power down options in StreamedMP.

EDIT:

Ok, I did find "Shut Down" and "Restart" menu items for StreamedMP in the BasicHome Editor. Both buttons work absolutely fine for restarting or shutting down the HTPC. Unfortunately - what I would like the most is a "Sleep" menu item just like restart & shut down.

Alright, I got it!! The "Shut Down" menu item in StreamedMP brings up all different power options including Sleep. That'll work!!
