    Hello!

I've a TV-Server with Client nr. 1 and one external Client nr. 2 which is connected via 100Mbit/s LAN to the tv-server. The Channellist is working fine and fast on the Client which runs on the tv-server. A Channellist with 6 pages loads / shows in under one second.

On client nr. 2 a show channellist with 6 pages loads in about 4-6 seconds - that's really long - a list with 50 pages needs about 20s. But only when i switch between groups. I don't think, that it can be a network connection problem cause HDTV with 15Mbit/s and SDTV are working fine.

I don't know if any logs are needed / what logs are needed cause i don't know if there will be any hint - cause it works but very slow. I will provide logs if i know what i should test and which logs are needed.

I'm using MySQL - if this is relevant i don't know where the clients graps the data from.

    Two questions.

Does this mean that if you open the channel list on the remote client it opens instantly and only if you change the groups it takes that long? This sound logical because AFAIK the channellist of a connected user is cached.

Have you enabled state icons? If so try to disable them to see if this makes thinks different. IRC there was a slowdown reported already when channel state icons are activated.

I'm not 100% sure about that - but it seems like that. When i press enter for the Channellist is takes about 2-3s - when i then change to another Group with for example 6 pages (20-25 channels or so) it takes about 6-8 seconds but only on the external client not on the internal one. So there must be something different.

I can also build MP myself - so if you have a patch for testing or so you can send it to me.

    No they are disabled.

Strange I just tried to duplicate the problem without success, however I'm on RC2 without SVN. When opening the channel list from the remote client it takes less than one second to open it. When I change the group to "All channels" which consits of 30 pages it also takes less than a second to display it. Here it seems that opening the channel list on the remote client is faster than on the single seat machine itself. Second difference is that I'm using MSSQL.

Mhm - OK so perhaps the easiest way is to switch to MSSQL first.

OK - with MSSQL it is as fast as on the local Client - so it seems to be a bug in the mysql implementation.

    Couldn't reproduce this issue,
tried with 180 channels ( ~75% with epg data)

Channellist popped up in about 1-2 s
