On mine for instance, there was a 2 minute gap while it was doing something with textures or cache files or something.  But that was only the one time after updating from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1.  Large gaps will indicate that the previous timestamp was doing something for a long time.  Post here what that is/those are.</blockquote>
