Slow Music Visualisation - A Clue (1 Viewer)

Fullscreen Music Visualisations have always been very slow for me, with 50% cpu usage.

By turning off "Use visual styles..." in
Control Panel\System\Advanced\Performance Settings visualisations now run at full speed and cpu usage falls to 10%.

just tested with current CVS - no change here; Fullscreen VIS takes 100% CPU regardless of visual styles..

I have the same problem and turning off visual styles doesn't seem to help : (

outside of MP full screen vis using WMP10 uses
10-15% CPU, inside of MP fullscreen uses 90%+ and is sooo slow.

Has anybody found way to speed things up a bit?
