    Hi,

    I recently switched from a single-seat to a multiseat environment, and all is working great!

    However, I noticed a delay of 20 seconds in the start-time of the mediaportal client, and I was wondering how/why that is.
    Tested with default skin, no additional plugins, it's always at the same point in the log, and always between 19 and 21 seconds.

    Mediaportal.log:
    Code:
    2011-05-27 19:04:38.548600 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: loaded 1 tv groups
    2011-05-27 19:04:38.552600 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: ChannelNavigator::LoadSettings()
    2011-05-27 19:04:59.567600 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: TVHome V1.1.3.0:ctor
    2011-05-27 19:04:59.568600 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: TvNotify: start

    And in the tv.log nothing whatsoever (is there a debug-level option in the tvserver config?)

    Anything else I can test?

    I also have this. It takes about 20/21 seconds for live tv to start up on the client. Once started, channel change is a couple of seconds. I just thought 'it is the way it is'

    The delay I'm referring to is at starting mediaportal, starting to watch live-tv does also give a delay, but not as long as 20 seconds. (I assume that is for starting the tvcard into action).

    Maybe it's not mediaportal's fault, because when I do a remote-desktop connection, it also takes a while before I get the login-prompt. Perhaps some issues with ipv6/ipv4?

    That did the trick for me also.

    Apparently it takes about 20 seconds to negotiate whether to ipv4 or ipv6...
